Process Development Senior Scientist

Piper Life Sciences is currently seeking a Process Development Senior Scientist to support development and optimization of bioreactor processes at a leading gene therapy organization in the Montgomery County, MD area. The process development senior scientist will also support the AAV production processes as well as provide expertise in taking processes to the technology transfer phase at contract manufacturing organizations.

Responsibilities of the Process Development Senior Scientist:

• Develops cell culture process that are scalable for technology transfer
• Work with AMBR bioreactor platform
• Provides technology transfer to contract manufacturing organizations (CMO)
• Bring bioreactor processes from bench scale to large scale 50L
• May provide in-person support at cGMP manufacturing facilities and present information at conferences
• Provides data analysis to make process improvements
• Will manage team of two associate scientists

Qualifications of the Process Development Senior Scientist:

• 5+ years of experience in process development
• Experience in technology transfer
• Experience with AMBR bioreactor platform preferred
• Master’s Degree in related science required, Ph.D preferred

Compensation for the Process Development Senior Scientist:

• Compensation up to $140,000
