Sales Executive – Cyber Software

About

Our client is a fast-growing commercial cyber security software firm located in Howard County, MD develops software that helps organizations secure their IT, IoT and OT environments with next generation threat hunting and response. Offering both on-premise and cloud hosted deployments offer organizations of any size live asset visibility, multi-point threat detection, privileged insider threat visibility, real-time threat response and robust risk and compliance reporting.

We are currently seeking a mid-senior level Sales Executive to develop new business opportunities in a greenfield territory/market based out of Columbia/Ellicott City, MD.

Day to Day

  • Develop new and maintain client relationships through marketing and direct sales activities
  • Identify, qualify and develop new opportunities through prospecting and networking – this includes product demonstrations, trade shows, and direct sales efforts (calls, emails, face to face meetings)
  • Manage and maintain your sales pipeline and target key accounts and vertical markets for development
  • Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales budgets and other objectives established by company/sales leadership
  • Provide monthly and quarterly sales forecasts
  • Stay abreast of competitive industry and market intelligence and provide feedback in this area to executive management
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing and/or related field
  • 4+ years of progressing experience in new business development and existing account management
    • This includes prior experience hunting new business - building a new territory, account portfolio, and/or market from nothing into something
  • Prior experience in software, hardware, technology solutions sales
  • Ability to be consultative to prospects and clients during the sales lifecycle
  • Knowledge of information security, cyber security, SaaS software is a plus
