JOB DESCRIPTION

Piper Companies is currently seeking a (Full Time – Direct Hire) Linux Senior Technical Support Engineer to join a fast-growing and collaborative team within the Raleigh, North Carolina (NC) market. Responsibilities for the Senior Technical Support Engineer Include:

  • Provide enterprise level technical support to customers ranging from basic user questions to issues that require more in-depth technical and problem-solving skills via phone, web, email, chat and other support channels
  • Work with additional internal teams to assure standard procedures for proper escalation
  • Work with customers to provide prompt and accurate feedback
  • Participate in the creation and development of support document processes, training and knowledge base articles for both internal and customer consumption

 

Qualifications for the Senior Technical Support Engineer Include:

  • 3+ years of high-level enterprise Technical Support or Systems Engineering with efficient knowledge of Linux
  • Experience with storage or backup verticals (NetApp, EMC, etc.)
  • VMware administration experience (Vmotion / Vstorage preferred but not required)
  • General knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, HTTP, Load Balancers, Proxies, Firewalls)
  • Nice to Haves: SQL/Oracle, Azure/AWS, Windows Server, Scripting (Python, Perl, etc.)
