Piper Companies is looking for a Scientist to join a clinical-stage biotech company that develops disease-modifying therapies for neurodegenerative diseases located in Rockville, MD. The Scientist will support the antibody drug discovery programs. This is a great position for a recent Ph.D. graduate looking for an industry position!
Responsibilities of the Scientist include:
- Perform cellular, molecular, and biochemical methods in support of drug discovery programs
- Use single B cell sorting/cloning, phage and/or yeast library construction and screening to perform antibody discovery experiments
- Conduct antibody characterization using various methods such as ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blotting, and binding affinity measurement
- Keep track of all experiments, analyze, and report data
Qualifications for the Scientist include:
- 3+ years of experience using antibody discovery platforms such as single B cell sorting/cloning, phage and/or yeast library construction and screening
- Experience with antibody affinity measurement
- Experience with techniques for antibody characterization such as ELISA, flow cytometry, and HPLC
- Recent Ph.D. graduate with a degree in cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, neurobiology, or a related discipline
Compensation for the Scientist includes:
- Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000 **depending on experience**
