Remote - Full Stack Engineer

Piper Companies is hiring a Remote Full Stack Engineer for a large technology forward company located in Raleigh, NC. The Remote Full Stack Engineer will have a strong emphasis on back end development and will play a key role in designing, developing and optimizing their back end systems while also utilizing AI to assist with coding. The Remote Full Stack Engineer can sit remote anywhere in EST or CST, is a long term contract and is not able to provide sponsorship.

Responsibilities for the Remote Full Stack Engineer:

• Develop and maintain scalable backend APIs with a focus on performance and security.
• Utilize Python and frameworks such as FastAPI, Prefect, or Airflow to streamline workflows and enhance data processing.
• Work with Snowflake for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Optimize SQL queries for performance and reliability.
• Implement automated testing to ensure software quality and minimize regressions.
• Integrate AI-driven coding practices to enhance development efficiency and solution scalability.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers and contribute to UI enhancements using React, when needed.

Requirements for the Remote Full Stack Engineer:

• 5+ years of experience in backend development, ideally with exposure to full stack engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Python, particularly in building and maintaining backend services.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Prefect, or Airflow for workflow automation.
• Solid understanding of Snowflake for data handling and optimization.
• Familiarity with React (frontend experience is a plus).
• Strong SQL skills for database interactions and optimization.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks to ensure robust application performance.
• Passion for leveraging AI in coding practices, whether for automation, optimization, or workflow enhancement.

Compensation for the Remote Full Stack Engineer:

• $50.00-$65.00 per hour
