Junior Salesforce Developer

Piper Companies is seeking a Junior Salesforce Developer to join an established health system located in Columbia, Maryland. This is a remote 6 month contract for possible hire opportunity. The Junior Salesforce Developer will design, build, and optimize Salesforce solutions across the full software development lifecycle, leveraging Apex, LWC, Flows, APIs, and Agile methodologies to improve the healthcare data exchange and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities of the Junior Salesforce Developer include:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Salesforce applications using Apex, LWC, Aura Components, Flows, and other platform tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Integrate Salesforce with external applications using REST/SOAP APIs and maintain data security through Salesforce Shield.
• Conduct code reviews, optimize performance, and ensure high-quality deliverables following Agile (Scrum, TDD, BDD) practices.
• Support Salesforce Sales, Service, and Experience Cloud solutions, including Service Cloud Voice, ensuring seamless user experience.

Qualifications for the Junior Salesforce Developer include:

• 5+ years of Salesforce development and implementation experience.
• Strong expertise in Apex Classes, Controllers, Triggers, SOQL/SOSL, Test Classes, Batch Jobs, and Email Services.
• Proficiency with Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura Components, Flows, Dashboards, Custom Objects, and Custom Settings.
• Experience with Salesforce Communities/Experience Cloud, Salesforce Shield, and Service Cloud Voice.
• Skilled in version control (Git/GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and Agile development skills
• Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I/II, Salesforce Administrator, or equivalent) preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Compensation for the Junior Salesforce Developer includes:

• Target Conversion Salary: $105,000-$125,000 (once perm)
