Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Fullstack Software Engineer to join a growing technology-driven organization within a fast-paced industry. This Sr. Fullstack Software Engineer role is ideal for an experienced engineer coming from smaller, agile environments who enjoys building new features end-to-end and contributing heavily to modern web application development.

Responsibilities of the Sr. Fullstack Software Engineer:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable Node.js APIs using Express and TypeScript.

• Develop and enhance modern, responsive user interfaces using React.

• Implement and manage data models and integrations using Sequelize ORM.

• Contribute to approximately 70% new feature development, with the remainder focused on enhancements and optimization.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers in a remote-first environment.

• Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and best practice initiatives.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance across the full stack.

Qualifications of the Sr. Fullstack Software Engineer:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.

• Strong experience developing APIs with Node.js, Express, and TypeScript.

• Hands-on experience building React-based user interfaces.

• Working knowledge of relational databases and ORMs, specifically Sequelize.

• Background working in smaller or startup-style environments with broad ownership and autonomy.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fully remote team.

Compensation for the Sr. Fullstack Software Engineer includes:

• Salary range: $140,000 – $150,000 depending on experience
