Technical Project Manager

Piper Companies is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support the delivery of healthcare data solutions and system integrations for a growing healthcare technology organization. This Technical Project Manager will act as the primary coordinator between technical teams and customers, ensuring projects are delivered on time while supporting healthcare data exchange initiatives. This role is fully remote.

Responsibilities of the Technical Project Manager:

• Lead technical projects from planning through delivery, coordinating work across cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment with business and customer goals

• Manage Agile project activities including sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, backlog management and progress tracking in Jira

• Oversee software releases, including deployment planning, execution, issue resolution, and post-release monitoring

• Drive healthcare data integration initiatives involving APIs, interfaces, and interoperability standards, namely HL7 and FHIR

• Identify project risks, blockers, and dependencies, proactively collaborating with technical teams to implement resolutions and maintain delivery schedules

• Prepare project documentation, status reporting, and change requests for governance reviews including Requirements Review Board (RRB) and Change Control Board (CCB) approvals

Qualifications of the Technical Project Manager:

• 2+ years of technical project management experience within technology, healthcare IT, or related business analyst roles

• Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and Kanban

• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence for project tracking, reporting, and technical documentation

• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards including HL7, HL7v2, HL7v3, FHIR, and electronic health information exchange concepts

• Knowledge of APIs, integration technologies, and connectivity protocols such as SFTP, MFT, VPN, and HTTPS

• Experience with tools such as Mirth Connect, Databricks, and Postman (preferred)

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)

Compensation for the Technical Project Manager includes:

• Pay Range: $41-$50 per hour (depending on experience)
